April always feels like a breath of fresh air.
After the slower, heavier months of winter, there’s something about this time of year that invites us to open the windows, step outside, and start fresh. We naturally begin to think about spring cleaning - clearing out what we no longer need and making space for something new.
While that often starts with our homes, I like to think of April as an opportunity for a more meaningful reset.
This might look like taking a closer look at the things that are draining your energy - whether that’s certain habits, overpacked schedules, or even the foods that aren’t serving your body well. It can also be a time to gently evaluate relationships and environments, asking yourself what feels supportive and what might be ready for a little more space.
And just as important as what we let go of is what we choose to bring in.
Spring is a beautiful time to refresh simple, supportive habits - getting outside for fresh air and sunlight, moving your body in ways that feel good, staying hydrated, and nourishing yourself with foods that truly fuel your energy.
In functional medicine, we often talk about energy as a reflection of how well the body is supported. When we begin to remove what’s working against us and add in what helps us thrive, things can start to shift in a very real way.
This month, I encourage you to think about your own version of a “spring reset.” Not something overwhelming or all-or-nothing, but small, intentional changes that help you feel a little lighter, a little clearer, and a little more like yourself again.
Spring is here - and it’s a beautiful time to begin again.
