March always feels like a month of transition.
The days start stretching a little longer, the sun feels a little warmer, and even though winter still shows up from time to time, we begin to sense that spring is just around the corner. I always love this time of year because it reminds me that renewal is coming - both in nature and within ourselves.
Many people I talk to this time of year are ready for that renewal. After the darker winter months, it’s common to feel a little low on energy, a little slower to get moving, or like your body just hasn’t quite caught up yet.
One of the things I love about functional medicine is that we don’t just accept fatigue as “normal.” Instead, we get curious about it.
Energy isn’t just about getting more sleep or drinking another cup of coffee. It’s deeply connected to how your body is functioning - your nutrition, your stress levels, your hormones, your nervous system, and how well your body is recovering each day.
When those systems are supported well, your body has an incredible ability to create steady, sustainable energy.
So as we move through March and begin looking toward spring, I encourage you to start paying attention to the small daily habits that help you feel more energized - movement, nourishing foods, hydration, time outdoors, and meaningful connection with others.
Spring is coming, and with it comes the opportunity for a fresh start.
Yours in Health,
